FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (May 1, 2018 | Grand Junction, CO) – The Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP) welcomes Timberleaf Trailers to Colorado’s Grand Valley!

The manufacturer of teardrop trailers relocated from Denver, Colo., in search of more affordable real estate. After a location search that included the I-25 corridor and Houston, Texas, the company settled on a 4,500 sq. ft. facility in Grand Junction, near the motor speedway. The company currently manufacturers three trailers per month, with the capacity to grow in its new facility to produce eight trailers per month.

Timberleaf Trailers quietly began operations here just over one month ago. Owner Kevin Molick and his wife relocated to Grand Junction after residing 40 years on the Front Range. They are joined by son Alex, who also works for the business, and one employee, originally from Georgia. Molick has since hired two employees from the local area to complete his team.

“We came over a few months ago to interview people,” said Molick. “The talent here is really good, better than in Denver.”

75-80% of Timberleaf Trailers’ orders come from out of state and at least half the customers prefer to pick up their trailers on site, allowing them to tag on visits to the Grand Mesa, Moab and other scenic campsites in the Rocky Mountain region. In addition to growing the manufacturing business, Molick hopes the relocation will allow him to pursue plans for a rental fleet to take advantage of the local camping areas.
