Throughout the area, arts, music and culture of the old and new West thrive and are celebrated in grand style. There is a surprisingly diverse selection of activities. This is the home of Art on the Corner, the Museum of Western Colorado, the Colorado Mountain Wine Festival, the Palisade Peach Festival and the Fruita Fat Tire Festival.
The diversity of local and national artisans, festivals, theatre, concerts and galleries create a vibrant community of creativity. The area has a diverse menu of musical and theatrical events from the Grand Junction Symphony, the Country Jam Music Festival, the Vineyard concert series and other frequent concerts, shows and theatre productions.
"Art on the Corner" is one of America's largest outdoor displays of sculptured art where classic and contemporary works by Colorado artists can be viewed all year round. Walk along the shaded and flower-lined streets of Grand Junction's unique Downtown Shopping Park where water fountains and statuesque historical buildings surround numerous art galleries, antique shops, restaurants and retail establishments.
