The
Grand Junction Economic Partnership is a private non-profit incorporated organization
and the official economic development agency of the Grand Junction area. This
partnership represents all of Mesa County including Grand Junction, Fruita,
and Palisade.

The Grand Junction area provides quality education for a steady flow of new work force entrants, as well as providing opportunities for continuing education and customized training for existing area employees and businesses.
Schools in Grand Junction MSA are administered by the Mesa County Valley School District 51, one of the finest districts in the state. In Spring 2008 total enrollment was 21,300.
The Grand Junction area is home to the renowned four year Mesa State College, which has a long and established tradition and commitment to high quality undergraduate education. The college continues to build on its success and now offers many degree programs including an MBA and MPA. Total enrollment in Fall 2006 was 5,922 students, making Mesa State the fastest growing four year educational institution in Colorado for the past ten years.
Western Colorado Community College was formed in 1992 as a partnership between School District #51, Mesa State College, and local businesses. One-year certificate and two-year associate degree programs in technical professions are offered and many WCCC students are placed in internships with area businesses, providing hands-on education. 450 students are enrolled at WCCC in Fall 2006.
