Good Afternoon!

As a key partner in GJEP, I wanted to let you know that our Executive Director, Kristi Pollard, will be leaving the organization for a new position at the end of October. Kristi and her family have been struggling with how to manage two successful careers, one that requires very frequent Front Range presence, while balancing a life in Grand Junction. Kristi decided, after being heavily recruited for multiple roles, that the best solution for her family was to seriously consider such opportunities that would land them near the Denver metro area.

I know that this has been a tough decision for Kristi and I want to thank her for her vision, execution and hard work in advancing the cause of GJEP over the last two and a half years. And I also want to congratulate her on her new role as the CEO of the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation!

Kristi’s last day with GJEP will be October 20.

The GJEP board will immediately begin a comprehensive search for our new Executive Director. The strong momentum that we have been seeing as an organization, and the support that we have from all of our investors and economic development partners, puts GJEP in a strong position to find our next leader.

In addition to the outreach efforts that Kristi has accomplished during her tenure, she has also put in place a highly competent and professional internal team at GJEP. Kristi will continue to lead our organization until October 20 and I am confident that if a new Executive Director is not in place prior to that date, the staff at GJEP and our board will work together during any interim to continue to enhance the economic vitality in the Grand Valley.

Sincerely,

Tim Fry
Chairman, Board of Directors
Grand Junction Economic Partnership
