Our Partners

GJEP is a non-profit economic development organization for Mesa County. We are a public/private partnership made up of the Cities of Grand Junction and Fruita, the Town of Palisade, Mesa County and private investment from local businesses and individuals, GJEP Investors.

Our History

Founded in 1984, in response to the 1982 oil shale bust, GJEP's mission is to shape a strong and stable economy with diverse industries and quality jobs in Mesa County. A group of business owners joined together, investing their own funds, to entice new businesses to come to the Grand Valley, to bring new life to this community and ensure that we no longer suffer from a boom and bust economy.

GJEP continues to attract new primary businesses to Mesa County and also provides assistance to local businesses with expansion plans. GJEP is a one-stop source of information and resources for any company considering a relocation or expansion in Mesa County.
