Mesa County

Mesa County resides on the western border of Colorado and includes 3,309 square miles of incredibly beautiful countryside. Much of the land is owned and controlled by the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.

The city of Grand Junction is the largest city in Mesa County and is also the largest in western Colorado. Today Mesa County is home to more than 124,000 people in 15 communities. The largest communities are Grand Junction, Fruita and Palisade.

Other towns and unincorporated areas of the County include Clifton, Fruitvale, DeBeque, Collbran, Mesa, Mack, Loma, Gateway, Glade Park and Whitewater.

Mesa County wholly encompasses the Grand Junction MSA.
